12 Dangerous Bedtime Habits That You Should Avoid



Sleeping is of great importance for our health and well being. Therefore, proper sleep is necessary for a person to function normally. However its a fact that most of us have some habits that directly impact our sleeping quality and we are not aware of that.


1. Avoid drinking before going to bed

If you consume a lot of water or other beverages before going to sleep, you will need to wake up and go to the bathroom at least 2-3 times during the night

2.  Keep the electronic devices away from the bed

The best thing is to not even bring it to bed with you. Also, it is important not to use any electronic devices sometime before going to bad. The brightness of the screen will fortify your brain and will disturb your rest.


3.  Avoid exercising 3 hours before going to bed

Workout at least 3 hours before going to bed because exercise makes you feel lively and fresh. Experts recommend sleeping 7-8 hours for maintaining a healthy life and properly functioning during the day.

4. Eat your dinner 2 hours before sleeping

If you eat right before going to bed, your stomach will be full and your body may keep you awake for a digestion process.


5.Don’t drink coffee at least 4 hours before going to bed

Caffeine fortifies your brain and body and keeps you fresh. So, do not consume cappuccino unless you need to stay awake during the night!


6. Avoid a bright alarm clock


Anything that produces light can distract you and make it hard to fall asleep. For the best sleeping experience try to make the room darkest as it can be.




7. Believe it or not, you should avoid books


Reading before bedtime is also known as a way to keep you awake for a longer period of time. Simply, keep it aside, do not bring your book to bed.

Afternoon naps can mess up your sleeping cycle and you won’t be able to fall asleep at night. Avoid the routine for sleeping at any time of the day. Make a reliable routine and time of your sleeping, so that your brain will be prepared accordingly!
